My daughter and me are semi-regular park runners, this was our first Martian Race.
It was an absolutely brilliant experience. Really well organised, lots of facilities and a really beautiful course over the common and through the woods, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
My daughter said in the car on the way home (oh, car parking, also brilliant, thank you McLaren!) I think this could be the start of a tradition!

Fantastic event!
Highly recommend joining in! It caters for all runners whatever the pace. The atmosphere in the village is really positive, several stands for refreshments. The Lions also invite runners to donate an item for the local Food Bank. The marshals are wonderfully positive from guiding us through the car park to encouraging every runner when the races are on. The organisation has improved year after year; it is now perfect! Merci beaucoup!

Great event with lots of different race distances
Great event. Well organised. My only suggestion would be to have water in the race village prior to the event starting - some of the children doing the kids race would have benefited from having a drink before running.

Great local event, well organised,very friendly
A staggered start for the 10k (most popular event?) based on expected finish time would be better imo, as there was far too much bunching and crowding for the first few k, and was not helped when runners entered the woods for the 1st time and on an almost single width track. My time was really slow until we reached 4k with no real spreading out until Heather Farm.

1st time I’ve done this race in its current guise - absolutely fantastic. Impeccably well organised - seemed to go like clockwork, and the Horsell common scenery is varied and beautiful. BRILLIANT!!!

Worth the journey from Mars to run
Gavin the tail runner, great guy, every competitor first to last was lovely, and the marshals were so nice u wanted to go round again and thank them… great day folks see u next year ..DJ
